Case study: Climate Change Adaptation, Greve

Description of the application

In the light of the severe floodings in Greve, Greve is now investing significantly in building capacities to cope with future flooding incidences. Climate adaptation strategies are being implemented through establishment of measures against flooding. Greve Municipality uses the latest methods in the analysis of floods. Historical data and computer models are used to analyze the cause of past floods and to find the most effective and economical solutions. Adaptation of the city to climate change is undertaken using a 'strategy model' developed by Greve Municipality. The model is used to help prioritize areas of the city to undergo adaptation.
