Abstract

The influence of land-use changes on flood risk is now a central feature of flood-management discussions. Indeed, numerous studies have been carried out to understand how land-use changes, in particular deforestation, urbanization and agricultural practices, may increase the occurrence and intensity of floods, together with exposure and vulnerability of people thereto.
