Description of the application

Berlin has partially achieved an extensive stormwater storage programme in its downtown area, already disposing in 2010 of a storage capacity of 213,000m3. By 2020, thanks to the optimisation of existing pipe networks, the retrofitting of CSOs and the creation of new underground storage facilities, 302,000m3 of stormwater will be storable. The entire project’s cost is estimated € 140 M.
