Description

SOBEK undertakes all types o 1D/2D hydrodynamic modelling by solving low equations on both 1D network systems and 2D horizontal grids. This approach can be used or river flood forecasting and modelling, overland flooding, drainage system modelling, and engineering structure testing (dam breaks, breaches, rural and urban looding). It is computationally efficient and allows for all flow regimes. SOBEK 1D can be run through two modules—pipes and examining overland flow. It can also be coupled with D-Rainfall Runoff Open Water, which creates event sets or separate events. SOBEK 2D gives three options for downloading, including rural, urban, and river modelling, which consists of an overland flow module in 2D and a rainfall-runoff model.
