Ραγδαία βροχή μισής ώρας ήταν αρκετή για να πλημμυρίσουν σπίτια και δρόμοι. Επηρεάστηκαν οι περιοχές Έγκωμης και Μακεδονίτισσας, το κέντρο της πόλης και η χονδρική αγορά Παλλουριώτισσας και Αγίου Παύλου. Το ύψος του νερού σε αρκετούς δρόμους ήταν αρκετό για να πλημμυρίσουν αυτοκίνητα.
